日前在網上看到曾智華在報纸專欄分享快樂長者十五條(見伸延閲讀)， 也在此分享一些個人對退休的思考。

(1) 不要到個人因身体，家庭或工作出现意想不到的變化不得不放慢脚步才思考退休
(2) 不要認爲退休就等於甚麽都不做或去旅行
(3) 40 歲左右開始思考自己人生下半場的目標
(4) 退休规劃不單是财務安排
(5) 心態調整對退休後的日子是否快樂影响更大
(6) 有銭旁身可以讓人的退休生活有更多可能性卻不等於退休後一定過得合意顺心
(7) 如果一直没有培養好幾樣興趣， 要及早多花時間心思
( 選擇興趣要兼顧個人财力， 体力及興趣是否有助個人心智持續成長，讓自己緊贴社會脉搏
(9) 爲自己定下退休年龄，但不要當作死線
(10) 如果一直工作事業爲重， 退休前幾年要更多投放時間在家庭及朋友， 從新認識，培養跟伴侣，父母，子女及朋友的關系；退休後他們就是生活的新重點

If 'retirement' means retreat and rest, that term does not exist in my dictionary. A person needs to learn and work till frailty strikes, otherwise he does not lead a meaningful life. As one ages, his role and responsibility changes accordingly, with lesser famililial burden and social / financial constraints. He regains his soverignty, independence, and liberation. This is the golden happy period of one's life, and he will be happier still when he can make best use of the ample time now available to accomplish his earlier aspirations, interests and dreams, together with other like-minded individuals.

I much appreciate this interpretation of "retirement"
