故事大綱：
George 的妻子 Josie 患上了早發性阿滋海默氏症（以往又稱腦退化症）輾轉十五個年頭，最後撒手塵寰。
妻子離世，George卻沒有眼淚，有的，只是一聲嘆息。
本劇翻譯自澳洲劇作家 Alan Hopgood 的獨腳戲劇本“The Carer”以輕鬆幽默，笑中帶淚的手法，
描述阿滋海默症病患者家屬在至親離世後的處境和心路歷程。
本演出邀得大學學者及有關的社福機構工作人員作顧問，務求以較真實角度演繹這個有關阿滋海默症
照顧者的故事。

編劇：Alan Hopgood：ALAN HOPGOOD is well-known as a playwright and screenwriter (“And the Big Men Fly”, “The Carer”, “Alvin Purple”) and as an actor (“Dr Reed” in “Bellbird”, “Wally” in “Prisoner” and “Jack Lassiter” in “Neighbours”) and ten years with the Melbourne Theatre Company.
In 1996, his personal story “Surviving Prostate Cancer – One Man’s Journey” was published and then adapted into a play. He has since become the “health playwright”, writing 10 plays about aged care, diabetes, widows, palliative care, geriatric sex, depression, dementia and incident disclosure in hospitals, which are now assembled under the title “HealthPlay”.
In January 2005, Alan was made a Member of the Order of Australia for service to the performing arts, as an actor, playwright and producer and to the community through raising awareness of men’s health issues.

Alan Hopgood 曾於澳洲享負盛名的「墨爾本劇團」任職十年之久，他不單是一位出色的劇作家和電影編劇（主要作品有 And the Big Men Fly, The Carer, Alvin Purple），也是一名演員（角色包括 Bellbird 劇中的 Dr Reed, Prisoner 中飾演 Wally及 Neighbours 中的 Jack Lassiter）。
1996 年，Alan 以其抗癌的親身經歷撰寫成 Surviving Prostate Cancer – One Man’s Journey 一書，其後並將其改編為戲劇。此舉啟發了他繼續以不同的「醫療」和「疾病」題材編寫劇本，觸及的範疇包括安老服務、糖尿病、喪偶、舒緩治療、老年人性生活、憂鬱症、認知障礙症及醫療事故等等，至今已寫成了十個作品，結集成為「健康戲劇系列」。
2005 年一月，Alan 榮獲澳洲政府頒發澳大利亞勳銜，表揚他作為出色演員、劇作家和監製的成就，在表演藝術事業上的貢獻，以及藉著戲劇提高社會大眾對男性健康問題關注的績效。
